TripCenter.net has released its new group travel bookings portal, which it says will “transform” the way group travel organisations work.

The online reservation platform collates a selection of approved coach and tour guides and puts them into one search system for travel agents and group tour organisers.

The firm says its free platform reduces the time it takes agents to put itineraries together and “eliminates the need for pain-staking research”.

Its service includes operators within the UK and around Europe.

Founder and chief executive Chirag Golwala spent more than two years developing the platform.

He said: “We know that coach operators currently function at around a 62% utilisation rate throughout the year. TripCenter.net will help optimise coach utilisation rates for owners and businesses. We want to bring more business and exposure to operators all around the world.”

The cost of a trip is agreed during the instant booking process when a 10% deposit is taken, which Golwala says reduces the risk of loss of earnings. He said it is a current challenge for GTOs, where post-trip payment can leave room for confusion over costs.

“While the back-end of TripCenter.net is highly complex, years of work have gone into making the site as easy to use as possible,” he added. “The interface for users is simple yet comprehensive. There is no charge for GTOs and suppliers pay only a small commission upon confirmed bookings. All users are verified by TripCenter.net to ensure a quality standard of service.”
