Two huge digital advertising screens have been introduced at Heathrow Terminal 3 to catch the eye of rich, tech-savvy Chinese passengers.

Information and communications technology provider Huawei is the launch partner for the two 6.9 x 2.3-metre full-motion digital screens, which will face passengers head-on when they arrive at baggage reclaim.

More than 8.8 million passengers arrive there each year.

The screens – labelled the T3 Motion Showcase – have been added as part of a multi-year deal which JCDecaux Airport says targets the “affluent, tech-savvy Chinese passengers that Huawei are trying to reach”.

Airport also plans to install Taxi Rank iVisions and the Business Lounge iVision network later this year, following the launch of Heathrow Gateway and T5 Motion Showcase in 2016.
