Pint of Milk is the latest web company to target a niche travel market with the launch of MatchHotels.com.


The site is launching to coincide with the start of the new football season, allowing users to find accommodation in cities which have a local team.


A Google Map mash-up has been integrated into the site so fans can identify how close hotels are to specific grounds.


Users can search by team name, star-rating, distance from stadium, and number of nights accommodation required.


Each listing will deep-link to the booking engine of each hotel website once the user selects a property.


MatchHotels.com director Ben Jackson: “Fans want to support their teams but escalating ticket prices and travel expenses do not add up financially for 90 short minutes of action.


“When fans can combine an away game with a weekend away the economics make more sense and teams get more travelling support.”
