Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK has made an undisclosed investment in London short-stay accommodation rental firm Veeve.
The cottages.com, Hoseasons and James Villas owner will support and strengthen the planned expansion of Veeve’s portfolio, both in London and internationally.
Veeve has a managed portfolio of more than 1,000 hand-picked homes across the capital concentrating on short-stay rentals.
The business offers a turnkey service for owners to earn money when they are not using their homes by handling marketing, reservations, property management and housekeeping.
Veeve provides guests with check in assistance, linens and toiletries and general support as well as offering extra conveniences like grocery deliveries, concierge assistance and maid service.
Wyndham Vacation Rentals UK managing director Geoff Cowley said: “We are delighted to be working with Veeve to bring their beautiful properties across London to a wider audience and grow the serviced rental options we can offer travellers in other major urban destinations.
“Veeve’s mission to make home rentals as effortless as possible complements our peer-to-peer plus approach which goes beyond simply connecting travellers to hosts to provide both with a range of services to simplify the process.”
Veeve co-founder and chief executive Jonny Morris added: “Wyndham was an early mover in holiday rentals and has terrific scale and experience.
“I look forward to working with them and our existing investors Smedvig Capital, on our plans to attract more owners to Veeve, generate more bookings and accelerate our international expansion. There is huge potential in cities around the globe.
“We will be adding great people to our team in every new city to ensure we maintain owner and customer satisfaction at the highest level.”
