Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling has signed up to use Travelport’s Rich Content and Branding merchandising solution.

The International Airlines Group airline’s content is live for agents to book and is available in both English and Spanish.

The airline’s lowest ‘Basic Fare’ option that only includes hand luggage will now be available to Travelport-connected agents and cover Vueling’s route network of almost 130 destinations.

The rate is in addition to Vueling’s ‘Optima’ and ‘Excellence’ fares, that include additional services such as seat selection and flexibility on ticket changes.

Travelport air commerce senior vice president and managing director Derek Sharp said: “We’re delighted to have reached this agreement with Vueling, an important low cost carrier in Europe and a valued Travelport customer.

“Like so many other low-cost carriers, Vueling recognises the added value that Travelport’s merchandising capabilities can bring to its business.

“This is further underlined by Vueling’s decision to also make available its Basic Fares offering, available on its lowest fares to our travel agency community.

“Agents can now see and better understand Vueling’s complete service offering from within their existing workflow and help sell its fares and ancillaries more effectively than ever before.”
