Technology firm Vertical Systems has been voted into a list of the top 50 innovative companies.

Innovation 50 is a new joint initiative by Essex County Council and East Anglian University recognising companies that identify and overcome business challenges in relation to innovation.

Vertical Systems was selected by a panel from over 200 registrations.

The business now qualifies for support from an Essex Innovation Programme aimed to aid growth and opportunity, and will carry the Innovation 50 kitemark.

Operations director Nyki Dilworth said: “We are delighted with this news, especially as some of the registrations came from large blue-chip companies. The recognition re-enforces our approach to technology as innovative and the implementation a testament to the expertise of the Vertical team.”

The accolade comes in Vertical System’s 35^th anniversary year, which has also included the launch of its new customer relationship management technology, several new client wins and eight months of internal fundraising for charity.
