Portman unveils online self-booking portal

An online self-booking version of travel management company Portman’s PortmanOne technology has been released.

A full mobile version of PortmanOne online will then be available early next year, according to the company.

The move follows client demand for the consultant point of sale booking tool to be made available for self-booking.

Users of PortmanOne Online can access of fares and rates from multiple sources, rich global content and fully integrated ancillaries such as car hire, rail, Heathrow Express and other ground transportation.

The tool is supported with the introduction of ‘live chat’ support and incorporates simple approval, messaging and itinerary management process flows.

Portman chief executive Steve Allen said: “Since we first launched PortmanOne our clients have seen the benefits our technology brings them in the value of savings, exceptional content choice, better policy adherence, simplicity of communication and added duty of care.

“The missing piece was always the online version and we are delighted to now be launching this product onto the market.”
