A global payments technology firm has joined forces with airline solutions company Sabre so that its clients can accept payments from anywhere in the world.

Adyen hopes the deal will improve conversion rates among Sabre-affiliated airlines and reduce fraud.

Airlines that work with Sabre – such as Aeromexico and Vietnam Airlines – can now use Adyen’s payments solution, which supports 250 payment methods in more than 150 currencies.

It gives passengers the option to pay in their preferred way, anywhere in the world.

Aeromexico’s chief revenue officer Anko van der Werff says using the payments service has increased the airline’s conversion rate by 8%.

Andy Guenthard, senior vice president of partnerships, travel and transportation at Adyen said: “We look forward to working together to provide a unified platform with which airlines can continue to grow.”
