EasyJet Holidays’ technology in test and on track for peaks launch

Chief executive Garry Wilson hails ‘massive opportunity’

The new easyJet Holidays division of the low-cost airline is testing its technology ahead of an official launch this December.

The much-anticipated revamp comes after easyJet decided to bring its tour operator in-house having previously used a number of third party fulfillment partners, most recently Hotelbeds’ Hotelopia.

Speaking to Travel Weekly editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley this week at the annual Abta Travel Convention in Japan, chief executive Garry Wilson said:

“The tech was all finalised last week and it’s all flowing through now. It’s in testing and we’re on track to launch in time for the peak sales period. It’s very exciting.”
