Online travel agent Weekender Breaks is hailing the impact of a single tweet from a customer after seeing sales of a Mystery Holiday deal surge by 200%.
The firm has credited the tweet from customer @liammcmahonn’s with sales of the deal, promoted on discount site Wowcher spiralling from 2,600 to 8,800 in just one week.
The £99 per person special deal offers customers a three to seven night trip with flights and accommodation in a mystery destination.

Destinations available to customers include New York, Las Vegas, Dubai, Bali and Thailand, as well as popular European city breaks and beach holidays.
The Wowcher tweet about @liammcmahonn securing a trip to Dubai for under £100 received more than 40,000 likes and has been shared more than 2,000 times.
Wowcher said at the peak of the summer sales period, its users were buying up to 13 Mystery Holiday deals per minute, with a vast majority (85%) of purchases completed via mobile.
