Global professional driver service Blacklane has acquired Solve – a platform to book global airport concierge services.

Solve’s services include Curbside and air-side passenger meet and greet. Fast-track security and customs and immigration, connecting flight assistance and lounge access.

The firms claim the deal makes door-to-door trips “even smoother” with Blacklane claiming it has invented a way to book professional driver services as easily as flights and hotels.

The company consolidated fragmented local service providers and operates in more than 50 countries, 250 cities and 500 airports.

“Frequent travellers’ most valuable asset is time, and airport procedures waste a lot of it. Concierge services save travellers time before and after flights while making the most out of the time spent in airports,” said Blacklane co-founder and CEO Jens Wohltorf.

“This [deal] is a natural extension of Blacklane’s personal service and high-quality rides as it connects the dots between a comfortable flight and a comfortable ride.”

“Airport concierge services have lacked a trusted name, a smart booking process and global scalability,” added Blaine Vess, CEO and founder of Solve, which offers services at 500 airports. “Blacklane has proven its ability to solve these issues. This acquisition is good news for travellers, local service providers, and the future of our Solve platform.”

Travellers will be able to book Blacklane’s airport services, with or without airport transfers, in December.
