TripAdvisor reaches 500 million reviews milestone
Trip Advisor has revealed the most reviewed hotel, attraction and restaurant on its site as it surpassed its milestone 500 million reviews.
The most reviewed tourist attraction in the world is The Basilica of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, Spain, which has more than 107,000 traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.
The most reviewed hotel in the world is The Luxor Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada, which has more than 29,000 traveller reviews.
And the most reviewed restaurant in the world is Pasteis de Belem in Lisbon, Portugal, which has more than 26,000 traveller reviews.
“Since launching 17 years ago, TripAdvisor has revolutionised the travel industry by creating an environment where consumers can share honest opinions of their experiences and where businesses can see the rewards of achieving consistently high standards of service and value from the community,” said Stephen Kaufer chief executive officer and co-founder of TripAdvisor.
“Many savvy businesses report seeing incremental increases in the ratings and rankings on TripAdvisor when they engage with travellers by responding to reviews and using the feedback to improve their customers’ experience.”
In the UK, the most reviewed restaurant, hotel and attractions were all in London.
Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London has more than 15,000 reviews and is the most reviewed hotel, the most reviewed tourist attraction in the UK is The London Eye with more than 57,000 reviews and the most reviewed restaurant in the UK is Aqua Shard, London, which has more than 11,000 traveller reviews.
