Pavilions Hotels & Resorts opens to cryptocurrencies with Coindirect deal

Guests can now choose from up to 40 virtual currencies to pay for stays

The Pavilions Hotels & Resorts claims to have become the first international boutique hotel group to accept payment for stays in cryptocurrencies.

The operator has team up with UK-based global crypto-payment gateway Coindirect and is accepting payments from guest from any source market.

All of The Pavilions’ hotels and resorts can now be booked securely with emerging digital currencies including Bitcoin and Ethereum alongside 40 others.

The Pavilions Residences, which are available for sale at the group’s Phuket and Niseko resorts, will also accept cryptocurrencies for property sales.

Payments using cryptocurrencies are now available for direct bookings through each hotel’s reservations centre will be made available on website booking engines shortly.
