Following its first nine month of operations, online travel provider isango! has completed its first global content coverage, offering a portfolio of 4,000 different products in 52 countries.
Launched in October 2006 by Ranjan Singh, a former MD of Ebookers and Expedia, isango! is building what is describes as a “collection of travel experiences”.
In comparison with other sectors of the web-based travel market, such as airline tickets and hotel rooms, Singh says margins for selling “experiences” are substantially higher.
A few of the company’s new “experiences” include a heli-tour over Rio de Janeiro: and the Corcovado; elephant riding in Pattaya, Thailand; and a high-speed boat ride in New Zealand.
“Having identified this obvious gap in a constantly growing market isango! not only offers a long awaited, sought-after online service for customers, but also a very interesting business opportunity for investors and trade partners alike,” says Singh.
