Worldwide coach travel booking platform Busbud is adding Spain to its European network.
The company launched in the UK in July and has partnerships with a number of coach operators across Europe, including National Express and Eurolines. Busbud now has departures in more than 7,000 cities across Europe.
The expansion closely follows Busbud raising $9 million in funding in July from Revolution Ventures and OMERS Ventures.
Chief executive and co-founder LP Maurice said: “As Busbud is already active in the UK, Spain marks the latest piece of the European jigsaw for us.
“We’ve had a great response from consumers, not just in Europe but across the world, and we’re confident that Spain will be a great success.
“Our goal is to make it easier for travellers to choose to travel by coach. With each new country Busbud covers, we get closer to achieving this.”
Busbud has named Spain its ‘Country of the Month’. The launch will include a new country page on Busbud.com, along with The Ultimate Spain Bus Trip guide.
