Travelzoo is closing in on one million subscribers to its Top 20 bulletin in Europe following what bosses have labelled an “exceptional” period of growth.
The travel deals publisher now reaches over 900,000 subscribers with its weekly email, a rise of 150,000 since mid-March 2007.
European managing director Chris Loughlin said the “word-of-mouth” factor with TravelZoo had reached a critical point in recent months.
The company continues to advertise for new recipients on email platforms such as Hotmail and Yahoo, where it can target particular demographic groups, but the growth rate has been beyond expectations.
The news comes as the number of subscribers to its Canadian bulletin reaches 500,000 and other offices around the world start operations.
