Amadeus extends AERTiCKET deal to drive wholesaler’s expansion plans

Amadeus has extended its partnership with leading German independent wholesaler AERTiCKET.

The agreement has been expanded to take in AERTiCKET subsidiaries globally.

AERTiCKET group offers booking technologies for airline products, and currently supplies tickets from around 170 airlines to travel agencies, tour operators and internet portals.

Amadeus will support its plans to expand internationally and diversify both its online and tour operator brands.

Rainer Klee, chief executive of AERTiCKET, said: “We feel that Amadeus’s breadth and depth of content, leading search and packaging technology expertise are just the right match for our business model, and that Amadeus’s global reach will no doubt be instrumental in supporting our business diversification and expansion plans”.

Holger Taubmann, senior vice president distribution at Amadeus, said: “Amadeus is in the perfect position to support AERTiCKET in its quest for growth and geographical diversification, and also to help the company develop and incorporate new technologies, such as Extreme Search.”
