A long-term global distribution deal has been forged between American Airlines and Amadeus with new XML connectivity.

A long-term global distribution deal has been forged between American Airlines and Amadeus with new XML connectivity.

The new agreement enables Amadeus subscribers to continue to access and book the full range of the carrier’s flights.

It also lays the groundwork for Amadeus to offer American’s full range of additional products and services.

An end-to-end XML connectivity will be developed between Amadeus technology and American’s interface.

The enhanced XML arrangement will enable expanded distribution of ancillary  services, real-time personalised offers and improved merchandising, including the ability to book American’s Main Cabin Extra premium seating.

The carrier’s global sale vice president Derek DeCross said: “Amadeus has shown an ability to adapt its technology to our business needs and we appreciate this spirit of partnership.

“Amadeus agents worldwide will benefit from an advanced solution that transparently displays the full range of American’s products and instantly delivers highly relevant, tailored offers to customers.”
