UK travel trade association Abta has a new website for its members thanks to a partnership with The Purple Agency.

Abta.com, which hosts detailed information and a range of resources for travel agents and tour operators, has undergone a complete refresh.

It also offers information for consumers about how to deal with Abta members and other information they need before travelling abroad.

The new site is customisable so members can prioritise the information they need for their businesses.

Mark Wynn, digital director at The Purple Agency, said: “We worked with Abta to create a site which is simple to use – enabling consumers and members to find what they are looking for in just a few clicks.

“As well as improved navigation, we’ve worked with Abta to develop services such as Go Travel, a specific zone within the site dedicated to handling the needs of consumers, giving travel tips and advice, and a clear pathway to help them in the unlikely event of something going wrong with their holiday.”

Victoria Bacon, Abta head of communications, said: “Our website is one of the key contact points we have with our members and consumers so it is very important that it enables us to provide news, information and services in a timely and user-friendly way.

“The site developed by The Purple Agency gives us just that, and we’re now encouraging all our members to register and familiarise themselves with the information and resources now available to them via abta.com.”
