More than 19,000 reviews and recommendations for places to go and things to do in London and New York have been pulled together for an app for guests staying at onefinestay homes.

More than 19,000 reviews and recommendations for places to go and things to do in London and New York have been pulled together for an app for guests staying at Onefinestay homes.

The iPhone app is designed to enhance the experience of travellers who wish to get to know the local neighbourhood in which they are staying.

Recommendations are sourced from more than 1,000 Londoners and New Yorkers who have joined Onefinestay to list their homes.

Every guest is lent an iPhone for the duration of their stay, giving them access to the Onefinestay app along with free local calls and data.

Personal recommendations from the homes’ owners sit alongside tailored tips.

The newly designed app aims to provide a new way to explore cities and provide access to hotel-style services for guests during their stay.

The app also helps guests access Onefinestay’s services, along with those of selected third parties including a maid service, airport transfers and taxi reservations.

Chief executive and co-founder Greg Marsh said: “Helping people enjoy a real local experience of city life is at the heart of our service.

“The idea for Onefinestay originally came to me after a trip to Pisa. A tip from a friend who had grown up there transformed my visit from a generic touristic one, into something unique, authentic and memorable.

“Our mission as a company is to help people live that type of local experience every time they travel.”
