French business travel web and mobile platform provider Traveldoo has been acquired by Egencia for an undisclosed sum.
Traveldoo will remain autonomous, operating as a business unit of Egencia, Expedia’s business travel arm.
Established in 2000, Traveldoo serves more than 4,000 clients in over 50 countries.
All Traveldoo employees will remain with the company following the takeover, including company co-founder Nabih El Aroussi.
He will continue to lead the company as managing director, overseeing the day-to-day business as well as shaping its strategic direction, reporting to Egencia president Rob Greyber.
Greyber said: “With technology and innovation at the core of our business, Traveldoo is a natural addition to our company.
“This acquisition positions Egencia to continue to expand our reach and further differentiate our offering in the market.”
El Aroussi said: “Being under the Egencia umbrella will provide Traveldoo with a unique opportunity to accelerate our growth globally while strengthening our financial position.”
