The UK’s leading cruise website cruise.co.uk has launched an iPhone and Android app to enable its users to interact with its community of cruise fans.

Cruise.co.uk has the most active community of cruisers in the UK, boasting over 100,000 opinions or reviews, 170,000 questions answered and 11,500 uploaded photos.

The app offers access to forums and chat rooms and allows users to search content on topics such as reviews, ports, photos, videos and ship menus.

Seamus Conlon, managing director of the cruise specialist, said: “Cruise.co.uk is well known for its innovations within the cruise sector.

“This app has been carefully planned to provide our customers and users with an additional research tool whilst they are on holiday through the cruises.co.uk online community.

“We know that many of our users take laptops away with them, but this new functionality with a great search facility, allows them to access over 95,000 pages of content , wherever they are in the world from the palm of their hand.”

Conlon added he expected the app to be used to source opinions from other cruisers while on holiday, to communicate with the cruise.co.uk community and for real-time commentary from the ship.
