Holland America Line and Thomson Cruises have agreed deals to give them online cruise distribution via Traveltek’s iCruise platform.

Holland America Line and Thomson Cruises have agreed deals to give them online cruise distribution via Traveltek’s iCruise platform.

Thomson Cruises was previously unavailable for agents to book online. The additions to iCruise take the e-commerce supplier’s coverage of cruises emanting and returning to the UK  to 95%.

HAL will provide more choice to agents with live pricing and online booking capability. Traveltek managing director Kenny Picken said: “Traveltek only develops direct connections to the cruise operators, as opposed to via a GDS.

“Agents realise by dealing direct with a cruise operator or via their systems on the Traveltek platform that they can take advantage of the best deals and tacticals in real time.”
 
The move comes as Traveltek expands the use of its travel solutions globally to countries such as Australia, Poland, Germany, France, Portugal, Malta and Brazil. “Working in alternative markets has proven a real challenge but one we have relished and will continue to expand our presence across the globe,” said Picken.
