The boss of independent search and social marketing agency Greenlight has been shortlisted as ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ in the 2010 National Business Awards.

Founder and chief executive Warren Cowan is one of ten finalists and was chosen for demonstrating great strength in the ability to adapt and innovate under trying economic conditions.

Finalists will make their presentations in person before an independent, expert judging panel. The winners will be named at an award ceremony on November 9 at the Grosvenor House hotel in London.

Chairman of the judges Philip Forrest said: “The need to optimise the effectiveness of web marketing was identified early by the company and its focus on supporting the blue chip end of the market has enabled this entrepreneur to grow a fully self funded multi-million pound business with offices in London and New York and a high profile client list to drive future growth.”
