Simonseeks.com has appointed travel journalist and consumer travel expert Fred Mawer as deputy editor

Simonseeks.com has appointed travel journalist and consumer travel expert Fred Mawer as deputy editor.

Mawer will report directly to editorial director, Nick Trend, using his knowledge and experience of major holiday destinations around the world to help further develop the site and strengthen its destination coverage, content and design.

Mawer has over 20 years of experience in consumer travel journalism, having started out writing for Holiday Which? and since then writing travel features for most of the national newspapers.

He will continue to write his longstanding Crafty Traveller column for the Mail on Sunday, in which he offers advice on consumer-related travel issues, as well as the travel sections of The Daily Telegraph and The Independent and the Associated Newspapers’ travel website.
