i-escape.com gets a facelift

Online accommodation guide i-escape.com has been revamped

Online accommodation guide i-escape.com has been revamped.

The site, which features more than 1200 ‘hip hideaways’, was launched in 2001.

The new features are designed to make it “one of the most intelligent search facilities and transparent pricing structures for online bookings.”

Founder Nikki Tinto explained: “This is the first phase of the new developments we have been working on.

“We wanted to create a seamless booking engine that could deal with quirky properties, from rice boats to holiday homes to boutique hotels, and quirky requests, from extra beds to children’s rooms, with equal ease, as well as designing a search function which harnesses the expertise of our reviewing team.”

Bigger pictures, interactive maps, and a constantly updated selection of special offers are other new features of the revamped site. But, Tinto stressed, the core offering of detailed reviews of handpicked hotels is the same.

“Over the next six months the site will evolve further, with more in-depth kids pages being added, news features as well as a move to instant bookings and a clutch of new destination collections including Jamaica, Egypt and Syria,” she added.

Other features include searching by map, new destination guides on all locations, more special offers for early bookings, longer stays and specific booking periods.
