Travel website Easy Voyage reported group revenue doubled in 2008 to £14 million, with an increase in earnings before interest and depreciation (EBITDA) to £4.9 million.

The Easy Voyage site combines destination reports, a price-comparison service and reviews from journalists and consumers, and reports it is now among the top-five info-mediation sites in Europe according to market researcher Comscore. The site was founded in France nine years ago and has no connection to the Easy Group of companies founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou. It launched a UK version last December.

Founder and chief executive Jean-Pierre Nadir aims to attract more than one million unique users and to have 1.5 million subscribers to the Easy Voyage newsletter.

The site currently has more than 800,000 subscribers and expects UK traffic to represent 10% of the total by the end of this year. Easy Voyage also has services in Italy and Spain, and plans to launch in Germany.
