Mr & Mrs Smith has usability specialist Webcredible to carry out a full audit and testing and programme on its fast developing website.

The boutique hotel guide and booking service has implemented a raft of new features to its online service in 2008 so is looking to ensure new and existing customers understand the changes and improve service in the future.

Webcredible has also worked with the likes of Kuoni this year on its new web offering.

Mr & Mrs Smith launched flight search and hotel booking facilities earlier this year and also unveiled an online loyalty scheme known as The Vault.

Tamara Heber-Percy, marketing director and co-founder of Mr & Mrs Smith, said: “Since adding the online booking facility to the website, the services available to our users have greatly increased and it is imperative to ensure that our customers our getting the best user experience possible from the website.”

Alongside adding online functionality to the main site, Mr & Mrs Smith also launched in the US this year and has expanded its range of hotels massively since its early days as a glossy guidebook publisher.

Trenton Moss, director at Webcredible, added: “In a highly competitive sector such as online travel, where the website is the cornerstone of all business, the user experience of the site is crucial to the company’s success.

“Mr & Mrs Smith understands the importance of usability to its customer base and we are delighted to be working on this project to help ensure that its customers fully understand its expanded service offering and therefore get the best experience possible.”
