Expedia Group’s business travel arm Egencia has expended its global operations by opening an office in Singapore.

Egencia Singapore launches with more than 30 clients, including Takeda, a leading pharmaceutical company, and becomes the fourth full service point of sale in the Asia Pacific region.

Egencia president Rob Greyber said opening a local office in the company’s fastest growing area aligns well with its mission.

“We’re focused on the growth and development of the Asia Pacific region,” he said.

“Growing in Asia means we can provide our world-class customer service and intuitive technology to modern business travellers throughout the region.

“As part of that growth, we are excited to officially open our Singapore office. Singapore has a well-deserved international reputation for being a business-friendly city, and an important travel hub, and we’re delighted to be here.”

Egencia Asia Pacific managing director, Kyle Davis, said that Singaporean customers will have access to the same online booking technology experience and mobile applications as Egencia business travellers all over the world.

“Our offering supports a number of clients building their footprint within the APAC region and Asian businesses looking to expand internationally, so it’s only natural that we expand as they do,” he said.

“We aim to provide the Asia Pacific business traveller a similar experience across all devices, platforms and geographies, improving business traveller productivity and corporate cost-saving initiatives in the process.”
