Holiday Taxis has launched a new in-destination service
The firm partners with OTAs, traditional travel agencies and airlines to provide ground transportation.
The HolidayTaxis Go app extends the firm’s offering beyond the pre-book transfer, enabling customers to book taxis while in their destination.
Users can book in their own language, agree a price for their journey before confirming and pay securely by credit card.
The firm says the local taxi drivers used undergo careful vetting and are all licensed.
Cian Kennedy, chief technology officer at Holiday Taxis, said: “It’s quite simple – our customers love their phones and tablets.
“They want to use them more when travelling with us and, or, our travel industry business partners so we spend a lot of time on mobile user experience.
“We’ve upgraded our white label mobile site options for the benefit of our global trade partners and we’ve launched an app to take paper out of the pre-book journey.
“Providing the in-destination taxi hailing service via HolidayTaxis Go is a perfect next step for our mobile product. The map and location services ease the booking process.
“We’re developing an increasingly loyal customer base by continuing to meet their ground transportation requirements via their smartphones whilst they are travelling.”
