EnjoyTravel.com launches ‘UK’s first’ contactless car hire pick-up points in London

Partnership with EasiRent designed to eliminate risk of face-to-face interactions as lockdown lifts

Online car hire specialist EnjoyTravel.com claims to have opened the UK’s first fully contactless car hire service in London.

The firm has teamed up with EasiRent to launch the new 24-hour system at Kings Cross and Marble Arch,

Drivers can reserve a vehicle online before picking up the keys from a secure Smartbox collection point.

Martin Mansell, chief executive at EnjoyTravel.com, said: “As lockdown lifts and the UK returns to a new normal, many people understandably feel uncomfortable using public transport and are looking for safer ways to travel.

“This new partnership with EnjoyTravel.com and EasiRent eliminates unnecessary risks, such as waiting in queues or speaking to staff face-to face, and vehicles are cleaned thoroughly before each use.

“The online process is quick, simple and available round-the-clock, with no need to sign up for membership and no monthly fees.”

To use the contactless system, drivers can make reservations on EnjoyTravel.com.

A customer service team will get in touch and the key will then be available to collect from a designated Smartbox location.
