KAYAK forms partnership with the low-cost carrier group Value Alliance

Tie-up offers enhanced fare options including multi-city flights

Travel search engine KAYAK has formed a metasearch partnership with Value Alliance, a pan-regional Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) alliance.

The tie-up will allow travelers to find greater cross-airline flight options, view more cost-friendly airfares on KAYAK and book for multi-city flights to top and trending destinations in the Asia Pacific region.

Value Alliance comprises seven leading Asia Pacific low-cost airlines and is the first airline alliance that enables cross-airline booking for connecting flights and ancillary products offered by its member airlines.

Covering over 160 destinations and more than 30 multi-city flight routes within Asia, such as Bangkok, Manila, Taipei and Tokyo, Value Alliance will give European travelers access to the best flights available among its members’ networks when traveling around Asia.

Whey Han Tan, KAYAK’s regional director of APAC, said: “At KAYAK, we are invested in improving the experience of holiday planning for travelers. Partnering with Value Alliance is a great way to help travelers discover more of Asia as they will now be able to access more budget flight options, all in one search.

“As we see increasing interest from European travelers in visiting Asia, we believe that the added connectivity around different Asian destinations will provide travelers with more and better options to help simplify the travel planning process.

“We are very excited about this partnership and we are looking forward to helping travelers discover different sides of Asia’.

Michael Szucs, chairman of Value Alliance and chief executive advisor of Cebu Pacific, added: “Seeing the rising demand of travelers searching for flights on our member airlines‘ websites, we see a great opportunity in partnering with KAYAK as one of our valued metasearch partners, to increase the available flight options for users in the United States and Europe and help them travel around Asia with ease.”
