Culture Trip strengthens leadership team with two senior editorial appointments

London-based travel, media and entertainment start-up names chief content officer and executive creative director

Culture Trip has announced the two key appointments to the its senior leadership team to accelerate editorial and visual content growth.

Dmitry Shishkin, formerly BBC News digital development editor, has joined as chief content officer and Anne Bourgeois-Vignon formerly Magnum Photos global digital director and come in as executive creative director.

The London-based travel, media and entertainment start-up attracts 18 million monthly users with its articles, videos, photography, illustrations and animations focusing on the people and the culture of destinations around the globe.

Shishkin and Bourgeois-Vignon will be responsible for all content created by in-house teams and a global network of around 300 freelance creators.

During his time at BBC, Shishkin was responsible for the digital development of its websites in 41 languages, oversaw international investments in digital products and innovated editorial content aimed to grow audiences.

In his new leadership role at Culture Trip, he will oversee editorial output and operations.

Bourgeois-Vignon was responsible for Magnum’s digital publishing strategy prior to joining Culture Trip, where she established the company as a global media brand, celebrating visual storytelling through Google, digital channels, e-commerce and partnerships.

In her role as executive creative director, Bourgeois-Vignon will lead all visual content and creative strategy at Culture Trip, including photography, video, animation and illustration.
