Plans by European OTA eDreams ODIGEO diversify into new revenue streams by offering dynamic packages have been cemented with the integration of budgetplaces.com.

The company is expanding its inventory for dynamic packaging by securing a number of direct contracts with hotel chains and accommodation partners.

Globally, eDreams ODIGEO now works with more than 1.5 million properties to create a ‘one stop shop’ for holidaymakers across 44 countries with claimed discounts of up to 30% if they package their flight bookings with one of the accommodation options offered by the group’s four online travel agency brands – eDreams, Opodo, GO Voyages and Travellink.

A new technology platform is also being introduced to enable 1.5 million accommodation providers to access to more than 18 million travellers annually.

The company claims the initiative creates one of the world’s largest online accommodation marketplaces.
Accommodation partners who sign up will have access to ODIGEOConnect.com which allows them to more easily manage their rates and inventory.

Chief vacation products officer Quentin Bacholle said: “Thanks to the innovative technology that we have integrated into our accommodation platform, we can now offer our customers a better product range, and cheaper prices, when booking their flight plus hotel in one transaction.

“This has also been a great opportunity for us to strengthen our partnerships, by being able to share a large volume of aggregated data and trends so that properties can better adjust and customise their offer.

“We are experts in helping people travel to any destination in the world, and through the detailed insights we receive, we are able to ensure that those who travel with us can find a tailor-made accommodation proposal to suit their needs”.
