Last minute holiday cottage club Snaptrip.com has reported a three-fold increase in booking revenues and volumes to the end of its financial year to November.

The firm claims developments like the launch of a new website during the 12-month period and an increase in the range of properties drove the increase in business.

This has seen an improved experience help its 40,000 customers save £800,000 on accommodation costs booking across all types of device.

Snaptrip.com said the volume of bookings that provided a 15% discount increased dramatically from the previous financial year.

Last year the firm confirmed a number of new appointments, including commercial director Joanna Davis, previously of TripAdvisor, Holiday Lettings and Blue Chip Holidays.

Matt Fox, chief executive and co-founder of Snaptrip, said: “It’s been an incredible year for Snaptrip and we are looking forward to continuing this success into 2017.

“We now have a strong dedicated but relatively lean team, which is great for a start-up that only took its first booking in 2014.

“Throughout 2017 we will continue to spread our message far and wide. Bringing additional funding into the business will allow us to increase our brand awareness and continue to improve our offering.”

Snaptrip.com claims to offer customers up to 60% saving on ‘spontaneous cottage holiday’ bookings.
