Shopping cart technology specialist SaleCycle has produced a handy infographic outlining how to send the perfect booking recovery email, based on up-to-date data from websites operating in travel.
This showed 78% of customer abandon the session when booking flights, hotels, ferry crossings or holidays online.
The advice in the infographic comes from analysis of 100 global brands including Millennium Hotels, Opodo, P&O Ferries and Jury’s Inn.
SalesCycle claims the top performing website implementing a booking recovery plan can boost their annual online sales by 6%-8%.
