Expedia and its brands, including business travel arm Egencia, will continue to use Travelport’s Universal API to access hotel and car content and to power new services to give customers more information, choice and flexibility when booking online travel.

The OTA will also use Travelport’s Rapid Reprice and ePricing technology, both designed to improve the speed and efficiency of the overall air shopping experience for consumers.

Expedia group strategy and business development vice president, Steve Jarvis, said: “Expedia’s commitment is to be the very best place to shop for travel and Travelport’s Travel Commerce Platform offers innovative technology and particularly extensive hotel and car content.”

Scott Hyden, Travelport group vice president, enterprise customer group, added: “We’re delighted to be expanding our European agreement with Expedia and look forward to continuing to grow our long standing global relationship in the months and years ahead as we work closely with them to support their highly customer-focused approach and overall growth ambitions.”
