Sojern adds metasearch to multichannel travel marketing data and insights platform

Enhancement will help travel firms to plan drive for direct bookings beyond the COVID pandemic

Digital marketing travel specialist Sojern has added metasearch to its multi-channel platform.

The Traveller Platform was developed for hotels, attractions providers and destinations to access vital market data so they can plan and execute targeted campaigns.

The addition of metasearch adds to existing channels including display, native, video, connected TV, search, and social.

Sojern said, after more than a decade of helping clients drive direct bookings to their website, it has continued to strengthen its platform during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The firm takes data from thousands of partners and uses machine learning technology to extract insights and trends on customer purchase behaviour that can be used by its travel customers.

Kurt Weinsheimer, chief solutions officer at Sojern, said: “Like everyone in travel, Sojern was significantly impacted by COVID-19.

“It hasn’t exactly been ‘down time’ for us, but we used the past few months to focus our business strategy and double-down on what’s working: building a robust suite of solutions to drive bookings for hotels, attractions and destinations.

“Putting it simply, we built the most intelligent multichannel digital marketing platform for travel in existence today.”

Weinsheimer and Sojern’s new vice president of product, Dave Goulden, have been at the fore driving the platform enhancements.

Goulden joined at the onset of the pandemic and has been working “to ensure Sojern’s solutions are ready to power long-term booking growth for clients,” the firm said.

“We believe travel will come back even stronger than before, so we’re investing now to make sure we can be the best partner to our customers worldwide long after the pandemic has ended,” said Goulden.
