Stansted and Czech airfare comparison site Kiwi.com have announced a partnership that they say will revolutionise the transfer experience at the Essex airport.
Kiwi.com has pioneered ‘virtual interlining’ technology that enables customers to match flights from carriers that do not have any formal agreements in place.
The firm says it will deploy its “state-of-the-art” technology at Stansted “aimed at disrupting and revolutionising transfer traffic in the aviation industry”.
Under the new “virtual interline” initiative, the airport will work with Kiwi.com to deliver a “fast, comfortable and hassle-free transfers” for passengers of both full-service and low-cost airlines operating at the airport.
Kiwi.com said the transfer product will be unlike any other interline or self-connect product currently available on the market.
Passengers, will not have to exit into the check-in hall, transfer terminals, or re-check in baggage for every flight, unlike current arrangements.
Kiwi.com claims the technology will simplify things for airlines by taking away legacy issues like complex interline agreements, booking system integration, and connectivity to low-cost carrier networks.
Kiwi.com algorithms, will enable passengers from over 185 countries to buy more than 2,500 unique flight combinations from both full service and low-cost airlines, for travel via Stansted.
