Global hospitality technology firm Avvio has appointed two e-commerce managers as it plans expansion in Ireland.
Jennifer Ryan and Ailís Cahalan have been brought in to join its team and will work within the client strategy team.
Both have backgrounds in the hospitality and technology sectors and will support the company’s portfolio of hotel customers through marketing properties, maximising revenues, developing commercial sales and building client relationships.
Ryan, who spent four years as group online marketing manager at Fitzpatrick Lifestyle Hotels in Dublin, will be responsible for managing booking engine and digital accounts, monitoring clients’ performance and supporting marketing activity to drive revenue through brands’ sites.
She said: “Working on the digital marketing side is a refreshing change whilst still working within the hospitality industry – it is the best of both worlds!
“Having gained a huge amount of experience from working with Avvio, I am delighted to now be part of the team that is guiding and helping customers reach and exceed their targets.”
Ailís Cahalan spent five years at The Marker Hotel, most recently as marketing and e-commerce manager, prior to joining Avvio. She will work with clients to digitally market their properties and build direct booking strategies.
She said: “Coming from a hotel background, it’s always been about putting the guest first and exceeding their expectations as much as possible.”
Steve Collins, Avvio’s Ireland country manager, added: “It’s wonderful to welcome such experienced talent to our growing team in Dublin.
“We’re scaling up at Avvio, and it’s great to have such a passionate group of people on board to continue delivering a high level of service to our ever-growing customer base.”
