Spanish theme park and resorts operator PortAventura has renewed its contract with revenue strategy platform Duetto after seeing a 12% uplift in revenue in 2017.

The five-year contract will see all hotels in the PortAventura portfolio continue to use Duetto’s Open Pricing application, GameChanger, and its ‘intelligent reporting’ ScoreBoard.

PortAventura, which operates four four-star and one five-star themed hotels with 2,100 rooms, has been working with Duetto for the past two years.

Fernando Aldecoa, managing director of PortAventura, said: “We’re pleased to extend our partnership with Duetto and have been most satisfied by the support model and speed with which new product enhancements are released to all customers.”

Working with Duetto PortAventura built a bespoke solution tailored to the different types of hotel product on offer.

Marco Benvenuti, chief marketing and strategy officer at Duetto, said: “PortAventura has been seeing great results with Duetto, and one of the main reasons for that is the success we have had with room type yielding.

“With five very different hotels within the campus, there are multiple room types on offer. Through GameChanger, the revenue team has the ability to yield these independently according to demand across the portfolio.

“Room type optimisation has been the lynchpin to the ROI they’ve seen. We look forward to continuing our relationship with PortAventura and to helping them drive even more business to this unique resort destination.”

In 2017, PortAventura saw a 19% increase in arrivals to 4.7 million, following the opening of its third theme park – Ferrari Land.

In 2018, PortAventura is forecasting more than five million tourists will visit the resort.
