DIY app builder for hotels Criton has appointed a new head of sales.

Jo Wilson was previously a director of her own sales and marketing firm for 18 years and has worked with a variety of companies in the technology and hospitality sectors.

She will be based in York and be instrumental in growing Criton’s customer base across the UK, the firm said.

Julie Grieve, founder and chief executive of Criton, said: “As Criton continues to go from strength to strength I’m delighted to welcome Jo in our newly created role of head of sales.

“With offices now in Edinburgh and London, Jo will be instrumental in driving our global sales plan forward, capitalising on the strong levels of interest we continue to build.

“I’m delighted we’ve attracted someone of Jo’s calibre to Criton, her vast experience within the hospitality sector will be a real asset to our ever-expanding team.”

Criton enables property owners to digitise their guest information and publish their own white label guest portal.

They can update and this and add information whenever they need to.  Through integration partnerships customers can also embed direct messaging, in-room ordering and geo-location push notification technologies to allow guests access to all the information they require, directly on their own devices.

Wilson said: “Criton is in such an exciting place – changing the game for hoteliers and apartment owners that want to improve the experience for their guests.

“There is so much potential for the company and I’m just delighted to be a part of such an ambitious and vibrant team.”
