Customer communications specialist d-flo has achieved an independent standard for data protection ahead of new GDPR rules coming in.

Following a full audit, the firm has attained IASME certification, an alternative to the internationally recognised ISO 27001, validating its processes.

D-Flo attained the accreditation with the help of CRIBB Cyber Security, a division of The Ice Way specialist IT consultants.

The firm said the certification was “further confirmation of d-flo’s rigorous commitment to secure business practices and data protection”.

D-Flo works with travel firms to provide timely and personalised customer communications post-sale to improve customer service, improve efficiencies and drive loyalty.

An IASME audit covers all aspects of a company’s business including risk management,
internal training, incident response and business continuity.

It also confirms d-flo’s GDPR readiness. As part of the standard, d-flo will undertake annual intermediate assessments and has committed to a three-year comprehensive re-assessment to ensure it remains compliant.
