Calrom appoints Simon Wilkins chief technical officer

Simon Wilkins has joined travel technology provider Calrom as chief technical officer, taking over from Jon Fisher.

Fisher is standing down from the role after 11 years. He was responsible for building Calrom from a start-up and assisted with the recruitment process.

Wilkins previously held the same role at aviation technology company Ultra Electronics.

He has 14 years’ experience of developing, and delivering mission critical software platforms, which have been implemented at airports such as New York, Heathrow and Beijing.

In is new position, Wilkins will drive forward solutions such as Groups Next Gen (GNG) which enables airlines including Qantas to manage the entire group booking process.

Calrom is a part of the Travel Innovation Group and supports sister companies Lime and Aviate.
