Peer-to-peer caravan hire and RV-sharing community Camplify has launched a new booking system.

The platform has more than 250 live listings on its site following its 2017 UK launch.

Its new booking system generates rental agreements, terms and conditions and also takes payments and allows owners to manage pricing and availability.

Similarly to Airbnb, it now breaks down the costs to the user so the can see how much is going to the owner and how much to Camplify.

UK manager at Camplify, Chris Laxen, said: “The new system makes the booking experience for our hirers and owners much smoother and puts them in control of their booking.

“Since Camplify’s launch in the UK market we’ve experienced a great response from customers resulting in a rapid expansion. Therefore, improvements to our booking system were key to our customer service plans.”

Camplify was founded by Justin Hales in 2014 and launched across Australia in 2015 and now has 20,000 members down under.

The firm says the UK has more than 800,000 registered RVs and the majority of them don’t get used for more than two weeks per year.
