Dynamic packaging and distribution software specialist Peakwork is showcasing a slew of upgrades to its B2B travel technology systems at the ITB trade show in Berlin this week.

The Germany-based firm has introduced a new hotel offers management solution for tour operators and OTAs to help them take greater control of their product in multiple channels.

Hotel data has been coded so that offers are presented in a consistent and transparent way to help the customer find what they are looking for without having to comparison shop.

Adjustments can be made quickly and offers de-duped to optimise distribution. Add-on services like transfers can also be included and firms can include additional information or comments.

For international sales, there are additional features such as multi-language and exchange rates up to date information, which can be adjusted at any time.

Peakwork has its new internet booking engine (IBE) for B2C sales in use by its first international customer.

This can be individually configured and provides the ability to launch a sales platform quickly tapping into Peakwork’s connections to global metasearch companies.

The firm said it offers the potential for upsell complete packages to customers shopping for a hotel only.

New for tour operators is Peakwork’s B2B agent distribution portal.

This is a configurable consulting and booking environment for B2B sales partners, travel agencies and call centers.

The multilingual web application enables travel agents to book tour operator products and brands from the entire portfolio of a tour operator group.

Peakwork has launched an upsell module with a price-performance matrix meaning agents can see prices for additional services such as room or board upgrades, different flight times or longer stays,

The firm said this gives agents a new level of transparency regarding price differences and product added values.

Jan Gerlach, chief executive of Peakwork, said: “All of Peakwork’s products are scalable and flexible to adapt to the business models and processes of our customers.

“For example, new travel offers with hotels of external partners are visible and can be booked internationally on our customers’ own travel portals, on metasearch or in travel agencies much more quickly.“

Peakwork has also configured its software for cloud-based hosting giving clients the dual benefits of greater speed and scalability to adapt to peak demand periods and troughs.

Peakwork said the IT adapts to the needs of the operator to meet increasing international requirements, enter new markets or product diversification.
