Leading European online train ticket retailer Trainline has employed the skills of ‘rap artist’ Big Shaq to promote the prowess of its own chatbot.

Claiming the world’s first voicebot duet, the Trainline has produced a YouTube video starring the creator of the ‘Man’s Not Hot’ rap skit.

Big Shaq is a character created by the comedian Michael Dapaah and in the video he goes head to head with the Trainline’s app to highlight how it can help to simplify the rail journey planning.

In a bid to drive engagement anyone who fancies themselves as the next rap sensation can put their skills to the test.

User can play the video, access Trainline’s voice app through the Google Assistant and “spit out some bars to the beat”.

David Slocombe, product director at Trainline, said: “In the world’s first rap duet between a rapper and a Voicebot, Big Shaq put Trainline’s voice app through its paces but it was more than up to the challenge.

“Trainline’s voice app is a great example of our mission to use smarter technologies to make travel simpler and more hassle-free.”
