Encore eyes growth with new management team

Leading UK live entertainment ticket distributor Encore has appointed a new management team as it looks to fuel growth through technology.

The firm has brought in former chief of executive of Booktable Joe Steele as its new chief executive who started this month.

In March he will be joined by new chief technology officer Nick Benjamin, who currently has that role at household goods retailer Dunelm.

Encore said Steele brings a wealth of experience of business transformation and international growth through his previous digital leadership roles at Expedia, Tripadvisor and Thomas Cook.

It added he will lead Encore “into an exciting new era through a combination of core business expansion and development of product offering and market reach”.

Benjamin’s “vast technical expertise that will be used to drive the technology strategy and its optimal performance in 2018 and beyond”, added Encore .

New system integrations are planned in 2018 to add ticketing product across all of Encore’s global multi-channel distribution.
