Expedia UK has collaborated with composer Daniel Land on a YouTube musical initiative to promote its vision of a world without boundaries.

World In Tune consists of 16 videos of musicians playing various types of instruments from a range of countries including Venezuela, Korea, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Portugal and Nigeria, the US, UK and Canada.

Viewers can layer the tracks on top of each other, choosing any order and bringing different instruments in at any time and they magically sync to create a richer sounding piece.

Land and Expedia invited musicians to submit YouTube videos of themselves playing their chosen instrument for two to three minutes.

All they specified was the key and some rough guidelines about what they would like them to play, leaving plenty of room for interpretation.

The message behind World in Tune is that great things can be achieved by working together and the project seeks to bring people together at a time when others are building walls and boundaries.

Digital agency Verve Search also worked on the project which it said showed how music was a universal language which, like travel, bring people together across cultures.
