Skyscanner is to provide flight search data to members of the world’s largest house and pet sitting business.

The partnership will enable the almost 500,000 members of TrustedHousesitters to check live flight prices by using the site’s new ‘TravelFinder’ feature, powered by Skyscanner.

Members across 140 countries will then be able to book flights the moment they accept their house sits, helping them to make savings as they travel the world taking care of pets and staying in homes for free.

TrustedHousesitters chief marketing officer Jess Stephens said: “Thousands of flights are booked each week as a direct result of TrustedHousesitters, so we wanted to find a partner who could help our members find the best possible fares at the earliest opportunity.

“TravelFinder from TrustedHousesitters is an instant way to calculate the cost of flights and work out a travel budget, helping more people to plan more house sits all year round.”

The two companies sealed the agreement following feedback from members of TrustedHousesitters, who have flown more than 56 million miles between them to look after pets all over the world since the site was launched in 2010.

Many said that although the process of finding free accommodation is simple, they would also like the option to arrange their flights at the same time.
